Mission of the Assessment & Diagnosis Unit

To provide clients with a definitive diagnosis (or otherwise) of autism and a clear statement of intervention needs, to enable them to plan strategies for their future

About the Assessment & Diagnosis (A&D) Unit

ARC(S) offers a service for assessment & diagnosis of autism for persons aged 4 and above. Our multi-disciplinary assessment team conducts a comprehensive assessment involving direct assessment, observation, case history, feedback from other people working with the child/person through therapy and school and most importantly information from the child’s/person’s parents/family/carers. The outcome of such an assessment is a definitive diagnosis of autism (or not) and a clear statement of intervention needs.

Besides assessment of autism, the A&D team also conducts intake assessment for potential clients of Early intervention Programme and Autism Therapy services, This serves to assess the functioning level of the client to ensure that our services are pitched at the right level to meet his/her needs.
