As Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the school’s management team and will oversee the school’s finance functions and services through driving strategic planning, ensuring efficient management of resources and digitalising of work processes for greater work efficiency and data accuracy.


  • Monthly Financial Reporting
    • Prepare bank reconciliation and perform GL review for month-end closing process

    • Prepare monthly Financial Reports for submission to school supervisors/ Principal

    • Prepare monthly Grant Utilisation Report for submission to school supervisors/ Principal

    • Monitor Grant utilization and verify/approve grant submission reports to relevant funding agencies

    • Review creditors’ and debtors’ ageing

    • Review and follow up on student receivables ageing

  • External Audit       
    • Lead the team in preparation for external audit (stock take, year-end closing, prepare schedules)

    • Liaise with external auditors on audit requirements

    • Prepare/Review audit schedules

    • Prepare financial statements for Pathlight School

    • Prepare consolidated financial statements for ARC Group

    • Ensure audited FS comply with MOE’s requirements

    • Coordinate Audit Committee Meeting and provide information for queries at Audit Committee Meeting

  • Internal Control
    • Review/revise Policies, SOPs and Procedures to comply with recommended practices 

    • Work with HODs and staff on SOP adherence

    • To work with various parties during internal audit

    • QAF lead for Finance team

  • Budget Process
    • Work with all department heads on the Budget requirements and preparation

    • Consolidate budget and submit for approval to Principal/Supervisors/School Management Committee

    • Monthly tracking of budget vs actual

    • Work with all department heads on quarterly budget tracking

  • Board Matters      
    • Prepare and present necessary financial information/matters for School Management Committee’s review/approval

    • Liaise with Board on finance matters as and when required

  • Supervision & Professional Development of Finance Team
    • Lead/ Oversee day-to-day Finance operations

    • Oversee staffing needs and staff development

    • Perform Yearly Performance Appraisal Process

  • Others
    • Complete Surveys issued by The Department of Statistics Singapore
    • Review and approve quarterly GST filing
    • Any other duties as assigned by Principal/School Supervisor


  • A Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications like ACCA
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience with at least one year handling full set of accounts, if possible
  • Must be IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
  • Be able to work independently and has good communication skills
  • Has strong interpersonal skills, a team player and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Experience in a voluntary welfare organisation or school environment will be an advantage
