  • Adapt school and classroom environment, tools and materials for the purpose of improving student functioning and facilitating student access to curricular and instructional activities
  • Assess students' fine motor and development skills for purpose of determining their needs and develop recommendations
  • Implement therapeutic activities for providing appropriate care to students and/or support the student's IEP plan for use in classrooms
  • Participate in collaborative consultation model to provide requested information, review/revise students' occupational therapy goals, develop plans for services and make recommendations to implement goals
  • Maintain files/records, intervention equipment and supplies
  • Provide training, consultation, and instruction to teachers on the use of adaptive devices and equipment for the purpose of ensuring such devices are used appropriately and achieves optimal benefits
  • Research for resources and methods (e.g. intervention and treatment techniques) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing students' functional goals



  • Possess a Degree / Post-graduate Qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Fully registered or qualifies to be registered with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
  • Relevant working experience as an Occupational Therapist with children in a school or hospital setting is preferred
  • Evident proficiency in English Language
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Desire to learn about Autism and expand knowledge base
  • Passion to work with children and adolescents with autism and their families to maximize their learning and potential
