| Programme Description | : | Managing Challenging Behaviours
Individuals with autism often present themselves with behaviours that are challenging and difficult. Strategies which may be successful in managing challenging and difficult behaviours in neuro-typical individuals do not seem to work as well for individuals with autism. Often this is a result of the difficulties which individuals with autism face in negotiating their daily environments, both in school and at home.
During this workshop, participants will be taught our three-step approach to help individuals with autism to overcome these challenging and difficult behaviours.

- a deeper understanding of challenging behaviours in individuals with autism – from the perspective of the individual with autism
- basic tools to develop preventive strategies for proactive management of challenging behaviours in individuals with autism
- develop strategies to teach and support alternative and positive behaviour in individuals with autism
